HOW TO INSTALL CAST IRON FLANGE VALVE

Various types of cast iron flanged gate valves are used in commercial and industrial fields. The main application area of cast iron products is special hydraulic systems for open pipes. The cast iron flange valve should only be installed when the “open” or “closed” position is adjusted. The rated pressure of the piping system must be greater than 1 atmosphere to prevent possible rupture of the gate valve.

It can be installed when the pipes are not completely overlapped. The cast iron valve will fix the pipe in one position and will not “jump out” in the event of water hammer.

According to convention, products can be divided into two types: wedge valve and parallel valve. According to the purpose of the pipeline, a gate valve is specially installed for each situation.

In the first case, the wedge gate valve is placed perpendicular to the direction of movement of the working medium in order to close the passage opening due to the movement of the gate. Such a design will help shut down the workflow immediately in unexpected situations. The installation of this type of valve is most common in the pipeline through which liquid working media (especially water, steam, combustible substances and alkaline mixtures) flow.

In the second case, the valve in the valve is installed on the pipeline parallel to the medium flowing through the system. They consist of one or more rotating disks.

According to its characteristics, cast iron flange valves can be divided into two types. The first is that when the view is opened or closed independently, all movement occurs in a progressive rotation.

The second type is when the gate valve is installed with a didlink non-rising stem. The size of the structure for installing this type of gate valve is much smaller. Installed on pipelines that transport water, steam, and combustible materials. These media must not cause premature corrosion.

For all other media, it is recommended to install a product with a spindle extension device.a
